BR 1-09 [Harry Goes To Day Camp]

I read "Harry Goes To Day Camp" which is illustrated book.

One day, Harry went to a day camp. A bus was coming toward him, so he hurried up. He took his camp bag and his lunch bag, and left home. Harry got on the bus. Everyone on the bus sang a song and arrived at camp at a moment.

Then They formed themselves in group of four. Harry asked his counselor what we play first. The counselor said "Soccer." Harry wanted to go swimming, so he whined. He played soccer, but he did not play well. After that, Harry asked his counselor what we play next. The counselor said "Basketball." Harry played basketball, but he was not good at it. Next, it was time for lunch, so they ate them lunch and rested.

Finally, it was time for swimming, so he hurried up and go swimming. Harry was a great swimmer. They raced and Harry easily won the race. He was having a good time on his day camp.

Foreign countries

I want to go to foreign country, for instance America, UK and Germany. America is one of the biggest country in the world. The Times Square is very beautiful at night and has a lot of stores, illuminations and yellow cabs. UK has London Bridge. I often see it on TV and it is very famous. Germany has Autobahn highway, it is highest speed road in Germany. If I go there, I want to drive this highway. I have never been foreign country, so I want go there.

BR 1-08 [The Bookstore Ghost]

I read "The Bookstore Ghost" which is illustrated book.

Mr.Brown liked three things; ghost book, eating cheese, and cats. so he built his own book store that was sold only ghost books. And he got a black cat. But his cat was not like other cats. She did not like fish, but she likes cheese. He and his cat ate cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unfortunately, his cat does not like to eat mice, and there were a lot of mice in his book store. Nobody wanted to come his store.

Mr.Brown had trouble about a lot of mice, so he asked his cat to eat mice. But his cat and mice played together happily. Mr.Brown did not think good about it. So his cat and mice came up with a plan.

One day, a boy was walking by the store. Suddenly, a book fall off the shelf. The boy was surprised, and went into the store. The boy said "The Black Cat Book store has a real ghost."

Then the book store was famous fot ghost book store and a lot of people came there. But the true was that the mice drop the books like a ghost.

Mr.Brown was very surprised and glad. Finally, they lived together in friendship.

I did not understand "ghost" before I read this book, but I can understood what ghost is now. It is very interesting book, so I recommend it.

Essay 1-02b: Volleyball

My favorite sport is Volleyball because I was belonging to Volleyball club when I was junior high school student. I like to play it very much. The practice was so hard, but I enjoyed it with my friends. I wanted to do something, so I joined the volleyball club. My favorite time was talking with my friends after the practice. It was very memorable time of my junior high school.

Volleyball was invented by William G Morgan who was from America. At first, it was invented to play for women and children without constraint. It was very simple rule. After that, he presented this game to YMCA. The name was "Mintonette", but it changed "Volleyball" soon. Volleyball quickly spread around America, Canada and Cuba. In 1913, volleyball came to Japan at first. It was played with 16 people, but finally, It was played with 9 people.
In 1920's it spread around Europe and already played with 6 people.
Tokyo Olympic games held in 1964, at that time, volleyball became formal sport and played.

The game played with 6 people or 9 people, but it mostly played with 6 people now. It is 25 scored match. If you get a point, you get your serve. Must win by 2 points.

My favorite players are Yuh Koshikawa and Saori Kimura. He is very good at attack and serve. H has a great impact on his play. Saori Kimura is good attacker too. She often do well on her attack.

My other classes

I have a lot of other classes. I have psychology class on Monday. It has a lot of students and there is big room. I like this class, because the teacher's examples are very simple and understandable. The easiest class is Christianity introduction. It has a lot of students too and it is first time class on Tuesday, so I sometimes oversleep. The most difficult class is Speaking class, because this class gets some homework every week and the teacher does not speak any Japanese.

I read "Rabbit and Hare Divide an Apple" which is illustrated book.

Rabbit and Hare like to eat. One day, they found a big mushroom. They tried break the mushroom, but it was not in half. They scrambled for the bigger one, because it was not fair. Just then Mr.Raccoon walked by and asked "What is the matter?" It seemed that he had an idea. "I will make them equal." But he ate the whole piece. Rabbit and Hare cried. After that, they found a big and round apple. They tried break the apple, but it was not in half again. Then Mr. Raccoon came again and said "I will divide the bigger one in half." But they said "We can divide our own apple."

I think that it is not easy to divide in half equally, but fairness need our life.

I read "A New House for Mole and Mouse which is illustrated book.

Mole and Mouse got a new house that is made by wood. They brought a lot of baggages. They tried the piano and it worked just fine. They tried washtub, mixer and bathtub, everything was worked just fine. Suddenly, the bell was ringing, Mouse opened the door. Someone said"For you" and gave some balloons Mouse. All of a sudden, Mouse fried and yelled help. Mole popped the balloons and Mouse falled on the piano.

I think that it has pretty illustrations and easy to read.

Rainy Day

Today, I got up early and the weather was sunny. Yesterday's weather forecast said "it will be rainy", so I was surprised but it was good for me. In the afternoon, the rain has started. BR 1-05 [Jojo makes the team]

I read '"Jojo makes the team'".

When Jojo was younger, some big boys tasted her in the park. She was so angry, and she kicked the ball really hard. It went over and whacked the big boy on the back. Jojo was amazed her strength. Since then, Jojo had been keep on playing football. She spend her dinner times playing with the boys. She became a good player soon.

One day, Mrs. Ambrose said the school was going to join a football tournament. Jojo was A-team, but the other boys would not let her join in the team, because she is woman. She was so angry, but the other members were not thinking so. Jojo asked her friends to help her problem, but she didn't have to, because Mrs. Turner did it for them. Finally, she played with them. She played an active part in the tournament.

I think she has very strong will, so she could play with them.

BR 1-04 [Green Island]

I read "Green Island". I chose it because it had many pictures, so I thought it is easy to read.


One day, Mr Johnson took his class away for the week. When they were walking, they found small green island. The next day, they went there to see a sea-otter with Mrs Honey. She is a veterinary and has a good knowledge of biology. When They arrived the island, they found some drams. It is toxic waste. Then, a boat coming toward to them and 4 people lifted some drums and began to carry them...


I think it is easy to read, so I recommend this book.

Food/eating habits

I always eat bread in the morning. It is fast to eat and easy to make. Sometimes, I eat bread or rice ball for breakfast in Kumamoto station when I over sleep. My favorite food is hamburger steak. I like it very much, because my father often cooks it. I like chocolate and McDonald too. Both of foods are delicious. Recently I often drink green tea to keep good health. I'm going to keep it.
