Tests

I finished almost of the test yesterday. This semester's test was not difficult for me, but some tests were hard. It was hard for me to write essay examinations. I wish I can get all of the credit.

I still have one test next week Tuesday. If it were nothing on that day, it would start a summer vacation now. I need to make a report, so I am going to study for the test and prepare the report.

I have to do a lot of things on summer vacation. For instance, computer course, assignments, study and so on. I want to spend happy summer vacation.

Speaking Ⅲ BLT sandwich

This is speaking class presentation script.

Today, we going to tell you how to make a BLT sandwich. BLT stands for bacon, lettuce and tomato and it is our favorite kind.

This recipe is for four. You need to twelve strips of bacon, eight leaves of lettuce, eight slices of tomato, eight pieces of bread, a little salt and pepper, mayonnaise. Then you need a frying pan, a knife, a toaster, a chopping broad, a spatula.

First, you need twelve strips of bacon which you will fry in a frying pan until they are crisp. Set those aside. Then, you will need eight leaves of lettuce and eight slices of tomato. Then you spread mayonnaise on the two slices of bread. Then, on one slice of bread place the lettuce and tomato slices. After that, add the bacon strips. Dust them with salt and pepper. Finally, add the second piece of bread and cut in half. Please continue to do this work four times.

This taste is a little sour for tomato, spicy for salt and pepper. And it is so flesh! You are ready for a Fantastic lunch!!

Facing Challenges

My most significant challenge was to write 10000 words. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t write so many words, but I have never written many words, so I could develop my English skill. Using computer is very hard for me, because I cannot use the computer easily.

Achieving Satisfaction

I had never written blog, so I confuse about writing at the first time. I don’t write well still. I didn’t write so many words ever, so I satisfy about my writing.

I took American affairs lecture last year. I made a story which was made myself. I made a history of GM. It was difficult for me, so this story is not easy to read.



I am Tomas Smith. Today, I am going to talk about my great friend. I am old now, but I impress his personality. He and I have known each other since we were small children, and we went to same school. He has very sharp concentration and willpower, so he will not give up things he started. He is my dream forever.
Since we were 25 years old, we started new work. We made carriages ourselves and sold them. In the beginning, our products were hardly sell. Although, thanks to his management, Our company gained big profit when he was 38 years old.
We made big money, and he became president his own company. In 1899, he got married and had three children. In the next year, I got married too and had two children. So I was very happy. One day I bought new car. At that time my car was powerful and had beautiful design. In holiday, I invited him to drive. Although, he said “I am not interested in it.” And he refused. Nevertheless, I invited him again. He took on my car unwillingly. The first time he took my car, he was impressed by speed and ride. And this was the start line of his successful story.
And then, he decided to learn Automobile. He left president’s seat, and he appointed me to be a president. Then I became his company’s president. He learned it by himself, and he bought new car. He actually drove his car long distance. He drove long distance, his car repeated break down and repair. And he found out car’s defects. He invented a new car that fixed these defects. Then there was not prospering automobile company, he focused on it. He acquired this company by his big money, he became a president. I thought he stepped away from me, and never come back our company.
When he became a president, he acquired many automobile company. In the blink his company was bigger and bigger. He was known one of the most success man in the world.
In 1947, he left a great amount of money to his children. He lived a stormy life and he taught me that it is important not to give up. His company is called “GM”, it is the biggest company in America. Now, it goes out of business, but his mind is living forever.

Essay 1-01a Dear Host Family

Dear host family,

My name is Kousuke. I am very glad to meet you. I go to KGU and study English. Recently, English is becoming international language and I like English very much, so I am studying English in this university. I am interested in other culture in the world, because there are many different things. I want to learn about culture, customs, rules and language.

My hobbies are driving a car and listening to music. I got my driver’s license when I was 18 years old. In America, you can get a car license when you are 16 years old. If I were an American, I would get a car license as soon as possible. I want to drive an American muscle car, because it has much power and it is so cool.

I also listening to music very much. My favorite artist is “B’z”, because Inaba is so cool singer and Matsumoto is very good at guitar. When I go to University, I listen to their music.

I want to know about America. Is American McDonald’s bigger than Japanese McDonald’s? I want to eat at McDonald’s in America. Do you know Natto? It is Japanese food and most foreigners hate it. But I like it, because it is healthy. If I go to New York, I want to go “Times Square”. There are a lot of signboards, skyscrapers and cabs. We can see beautiful illuminations there at night. So I want to go there this one time.

BR 1-15 [Amanda Pig and Her Big Brother Oliver]

I read ''Amanda Pig and Her Big Brother Oliver" which is illustrated book. This book is Oliver and Amanda pig book series. I read "Tales of Amanda Pig" before, and it was interesting for me. So I wanted to read the other series. And this is one.

The first story is about Amanda's characteristics. In the afternoon, Amanda, her brother Oliver and their father were in their garden. Amanda and Oliver were playing, and the father was watching them. Oliver ran as fast and jumped as high and threw the ball as high. Amanda wanted to do everything he does, but she couldn't do well. In the end, she started to cry. Her father said her "You are the best at failing down of anyone I know." She stopped to cry and fell down again and again. She was happy.

The second story is about a secret. It was raining outside. Oliver, Amanda and their mother were sitting big chair. At first, their mother whispered a secret into Oliver's ear. Then, Oliver whispered the secret into his stuffed toy tiger's ear. The tiger whispered it into Amanda's ear. Finally Amanda whispered it into her mother's ear, but she mistook. She said something to wrong. Her mother was surprised and jumped up suddenly. They laughed and laughed.

The third story is about brotherhood. One day, Oliver was playing mighty pig. Amanda wanted to play with Oliver, so she did everything that Oliver did. He didn't do well, because she did as same as his doing. He stopped to play and he was going to have lunch. Their father made him to play with Amanda together. They played mighty strong pig. They went outside to beat two bad guys. Oliver let Amanda help him. Amanda did some hard works for instance, pushing a cart riding Oliver, getting some rocks and sticks and making some mudballs for him. Opposite to her, Oliver did only easy things. At last Amanda got angry and threw a mudball at him. Oliver threw a mudball back too. They went back to home covered with mud. Their mother was surprised, considered to make a good relationship.

The final story is about Amanda's doing all by herself. In the morning pig family ate breakfast. After that, Oliver and their father played checkers. Amanda watched the game, their mother came to her and asked"What would you like to do today?" Amanda wanted to play with mother, but she had to do a lots. The mother make her to play by herself for a little while. She went to her room alone. She sat down on the floor. Then she said "Ouch" She was sitting on one of the blocks. She played blocks. She put and put another block on top, and made a big house. She called her mother and showed her it. Then, Oliver and father finished the game and came into the room. They looked her house and said very nice. Amanda looked happy.

I think their father is wise and gentle. I want to be a such father. This series book is very fun for me. I would like to read the other book.

BR 1-14 [Mr. Bean]

I read "Mr. Bean" which comedy book. It has two stories. I often watched Mr. bean's video with my friends when I was elementary school student. So I like Mr. Bean very much.

Today is Mr. Bean's birthday. He decided to go out to a restaurant for dinner this evening. He took a birthday card out of his jacket and wrote his name and address by his own hand. He put it on the table. At a moment, he found it and said "Oh A card? for me?" and opened it myself. A waiter brought a restaurant's manu, and Mr. Bean looked at it. He was surprised. Everything was so expensive, and he didn't have a lot of money. He was obliged to order to only one thing. The waiter brought it, but it was tasteless. So he tried to hide it somewhere.

The second story was Mr. Bean in a Landromat. You bring some clothes to Landromat generally, but he is different. He brought his carpet, lamp cover, dices and his favorite little teddy bear. Then a man came to the Landromat. He looked strong, and brought a black belt. Mr. Bean tried not to relative with him, but the strong man teased at his all doing. He was so regrettable, he came up with a plan to beat the strong man.

Mr. Bean was very funny and interesting for me. I felt strange, because Mr. Bean barely say his own feeling. You can understand his thinking in this book. I would like to read the other series.

Yesterday

I had to go to KGU yesterday, because I had to take a SPI examination. I usually go to KGU by train, but I went there by car this time. I planed to go to Karaoke with my friend, and I have to leave my home very early if I go there by train. So I used my car. When I arrived there, there was a few people in the room. The examination was so difficult for me and it took a long time. After that, we had a lunch in his car, went to Karaoke. My friend was very good at singing, I couldn't sing well. I want to sing well like him. We had a good time together. I would like to go to Karaoke again.

Vacation plans

I will introduce my vacation plans. First, I will get some qualifications with my friend. Because they are necessary for me to get the job. I plan to take summer course in personal computer examination. I cannot use the computer very well, so I would like to be a good user. I read "Tales of Amanda Pig" which was illustrated book. This is 5 stories and had cute pictures.

This story's heroin is Amanda. She is the youngest member of the Pig's family. She likes her stuffed toy monkey and rabbit. Oliver is her brother. He is always active. Amanda and Oliver sometimes quarrel. Their father has humor, and their mother is kind.

One day, Amanda's family ate them breakfast. The father and Oliver finished to eat, and went out of house to rake leaves. Then, mother finished to eat, but Amanda would not eat sunny-side up egg. Her mother wanted to ready for washing the dishes, but Amanda was only looking it. So her mother tried Amanda to eat egg.

The second story is about a rainy day. Amanda and Oliver wanted to go to grandmother's house, but the mother said"Not today." They decided to play taking in our airplane. They made their airplane using the table, chair and toy box. After that, they got the airplane ready for takeoff. The rain stopped, the grandmother visited their house. They was looking forward to meet her, so they were very glad.

The third story is about Amanda's worry. She said "I cannot go upstairs. There is a monster." Her father said"Show it to me." And She pointed a clock up the stairs. She looked it as a monster. Her father came up with a plan. He got a flashlight, a cooking pot, two Halloween masks and his umbrella. They would take care of the monster using these items.

The fourth story is Amanda and Oliver's fight. They decided to play in their house today. Amanda wanted to play house, but Oliver wanted to play monster. He obliged her to play monster, she went out of his room. She started to play house alone. Oliver talked to his father...

The last story was about sleeping. Her mother usually sings a lullaby and talks a story when She goes to bed, but this time She sung and talked. After her mother fell asleep. Amanda sat and watched her mother sleep quietly...

After I read this book, I was very sentimental. It was soft story. This story is long, but sentences is not so difficult. I really recommend this book.
